Deanrover
A tournament player can chat to others users, but they can not respond. However, many tourney players get understandably confused when they get no reply. They think that the person they are chatting to is being rude and can get irate. Two options suggest themselves i) Disable the ability of tourney players to chat to anyone bar yellowsii) (my preferred option ;) ) When a tourney player chats to another user, they should receive a message "Userxyz can not respond to your message because you are currently in a tournament". If people found ii) too annoying, you could add check box "don't show me this message again" D
TimG
People get irate because someone doesn't respond to them? Might I suggest the problem is not with the software?
DrTodd13
Reminding tourney players that people can't respond when they send them messages would be fine. However, I suggested this in another forum and I'll suggest it again now. When a table has finished a round, the people at thattable should be able to private chat to anyone, including their partner. Another(more difficult) suggestion would be to queue up private messages from players not in a tourney to those players in the tourney until their current round has completed and to then deliver them to those participants. Gerardo
All the queuing part of it is already there, in BBOMail system.Maybe pickup those messages when a round is finished?
