Congrats.

How did Brad make 7H on Board 20 ? Someone revoked ?

Standard double squeeze. Opening heart lead picked up the Q, cash 4 hearts, 2 diamonds and ruff one, a spade and 2 clubs leaving:[hv=n=sqjhdqc&w=s8h7dc7&e=sa6hd4c&s=s109hdcj]399|300|[/hv]

Now on the 7 a diamond can't be thrown or the 4 is good so a spade is thrown, a diamond is thrown from dummy and RHO is squeezed in the blacks.

Fred is the most prominent example of a player who only got very very good after reading the forums for a while. :) Congratulations and thanks for giving hope to us all!

Good job that is tongue in cheek :P

I too would like to add my congrats.

Congrats Fred and the Diamond team for a deserved win of the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP! (just in case he hasn't realized yet what he has achieved just now :))

Looking at the KO results, they were convincing all the way:

RO64: Diamond - JapCan: +53

RO32: Diamond - Klinger: +81

RO16: Diamond - Lavazza: +25

QF: Diamond - Vito: +117

SF: Diamond - Zimmermann: +60

F: Diamond - Nickell: +43

Congrats Fred and team!!! It's well deserved, as the whole team played great throughout. I remember a couple of years ago a thread where it was suggested that the sponsor pair on this team was not as strong as some others and Fred was quick to disagree. Fred was obviously correct as Diamond/Platnick played some great bridge (IMHO).
