Bidding Script: West opens 2, ew do not bid after that.

Hanoi comments: "West opens with a weak 2S and it’s up to N/S to decide the level and strain in which to play. Clearly, it is South who should receive the lead, but will s/he choose the Majors or NT? Will South keep his/her ground or be swept by North’s diamonds. 6NT(S), 10; 6H, 8; 6D, 6; 5NT(W), 3; 5NT/6NT(N), 1"[/hv]

Follows the theme of board 15, but at a higher level, so should be "easier"? We will see...

We started 2S-Dbl.-P-4NT (natural), leading quickly to 6NT (first trying diamonds along the way). Hanoi5, hosting us, didn't like 4NT. Any opinions?

Wow seems like a huge overbid, I think it should be more like an 18 or 19 count. North can easily have a 1444 or 1(345) 11. I got there after

X 4

4 4NT

5 6NT

which is sort of a guess itself.

I would have bid 3NT at the table, but decided to bid a slow 2NT. Justin bid diamonds, hearts and then clubs and I had an easy 6NT bid. Conveniently we were not playing equal level conversion.

Roger might have outbid me here. He also bid 2NT, then 3S, then 4S, but over 5C he bid 5NT, pick a slam, planning to pull everything to 6NT in the hope that partner could bid a grand. This didn't work out as well when Arend chose 6H, but they would have stayed in 6NT anyway.
