pooltuna
Any of the "I hate passers" saying what they would do, and on the next round after likely continuations? they are just seeking to avoid retribution for the many times they have failed to protect their partners :P

Even if my example hands don't quite demonstrate my point, isn't 3♣ non-forcing?
hanp
The 3C bidders want to bid it directly over 2H, not after passing first.
bid_em_up
suppose this is the actual hand.... Doesn't partner leave it in 3♣, expecting the hand to be more like..... Or would this North have taken action over 2♥? Even if my example hands don't quite demonstrate my point, isn't 3♣ non-forcing? To me, this solves the problem of whether or not you leave the reopening X in or not. Once you decide to pass (over 2♥), you are forced to stick with that choice and leave the X in as partner will never know you have this much strength. You can't expect to bid now, and reach any reasonable contract. Most would play 3C as showing some values (2N being a weak relay), but it would be nowhere near this strong.
