Gweny
B) Wish list Ability to talk privately to both partners at same time. ie <--> button for n/s and e/w List of calls who do NOT take me away from current activity Tables changing colour when they are finish - maybe you can use "score" column for this? After all since it is tournament all tables are set same... if colour is not feasible maybe tell use what board they are playing or just "playing" or "Finish" in this column? DrTodd13
I'd like to have the ability for kibitzers to talk to players in a tournament privately so long as the player is done for the round. Todd

Todd I'd like to be able to talk to my partner privately after the round. Nothing like sitting there for six minutes while the opponents scream at each other in Polish. Gweny
giggle... And how do either one of these improve/help td?
beky
Good idea to have a different color for the tables that have ended, you know in the button "show turney status" you can see only 4-5 tables, not all, and if they play 7 you don't know what the lacking ones are. Another beautiful idea would be to know if a TD is already kib to the table so even if you see two tables with a red player you know in what to go is better. Nothing like sitting there for six minutes while the opponents scream at each other in Polish.I agree with jtf ( NOT because opps MIGHT be talking Polish or any other language) but SOMETIMES it can be useful to clarify a point or two when playing with a person you have just met ---- and MAYBE just MAYBE have had time to agree "system?" "carding?" "leads?" "discards?" --- AND if even LUCKIER -- "Blackwood or RKCB {what sort of RKCB}" "Gerber " etc BUT IF this could be enabled - it might mean that somebody would have to report PARTNER to director for abusive comments  and then be able to ask for substitute
jtfanclub
I agree with jtf ( NOT because opps MIGHT be talking Polish or any other language) How about when the opponents are laughing about how stupid their opponents were in Polish...and one of the opponents understands Polish. It's easy to insult the opponents while discussing a bidding issue (something to the effect of "sure we got a good result, but against good defenders we wouldn't have"). Insults lead to rudeness...which leads to director calls. There, see Gweny? I knew I could take it full circle.
Gweny
Sorry Jt,... I just do not agree with any post who singles out some particular nation. I am sure if you look at it from point of view of someone who does not speak english then they, to, must constantly wonder what is all this we are saying. To assume they are talking about you, your partner, or your play is little bit silly. Most of time when people get moment to talk between boards all they are concern about is clarifing some point of bidding. Yes I am sure that once in great while someone may make choice to say mean/rude things in non english language but in general people do not. If they do then call td and report it. jtfanclub
Sorry Jt,... I just do not agree with any post who singles out some particular nation. I apologize to any Poles who feel they were insulted. As previously stated, the issue is not that I suspect they might be talking about me, it's the opponents speak the language and know exactly what is being said. Besides, I've had lots of times where the opponents have said something to the same effect in English, not to mention times when *I've* said "Ignore their advice, they don't know what you're talking about". Again, no insult or targeting was intended towards any country or language.
Frosty
In addition to Gweny's requests, I would very much like to see the TD's chat appear in reverse so that it stands out. A consistent problem is that the players cannot pick out the TD chat from the rest of the chat and instructions/explanations are missed more than they are noticed. TD's try to communicate with the players, but our chat tends to blend in with all the rest and is difficult to recognize if you are focused on bidding/playing. Some of us use the suit symbols to delineate our chat, but players use these as well which further muddles the issue. At a former bridge site where I worked, the TD chat line appeared with black background and white letters. This would be SO helpful and - I suspect - not so difficult!! And it doesn't use another color :D !! Still want call lists that do not pop up and want TD tools needed during the tourney to be available on the Tournament Lobby. Also want time clock on tourney lobby screen..... see prior suggestions. Thanks :D Frosty
bearmum
IMHO a good odea would be if playing in TournamentONLY chat from the table you are currently at be visible -- that way less distractions and IF TD comes to your table would be easier to recognise him/her :D
tenbrvc
Here are two wish items! The other day when I was hosting a tournament, I had many disconnects, intentional or otherwise. Please advise if I am wrong, but I read somewhere in the past that the software keeps track of these players and prevents them from entering future tournaments. (I don't remember -- How many of these disconnects before a player is barred? And for how long?) Going back to my wishes! (I have a habit of going off topic B) ) I also had to frequently sub players who are non-responsive (connection problems?) or very slow. Maybe the software can do something about these players also? While the nuisance factor is lower, they do cause problems when running tournaments, especially in a clocked movement. My second wish item is sometimes I wish all directors can have their own private clubs. It is so much easier to screen and manage players when running tournaments. Players cannot enter your tournaments unless they agree to abide by your rules. I know you can add players to a private file, and perhaps maybe this process can be made easier. Hope I make sense! Have a nice day!
