CSGibson
[hv=d=w&v=e&s=skq975haq84d74ct3]133|100|Scoring: MP(1♠)-2N-(p)-?[/hv] Agreements are that partner will only show a 2-suiter with a decent hand, with flexibility according to vulnerability. I would not be surprised to see a well-spotted 7 count with the points all in the suits at this vulnerability. Anyone tempted to pass this, or boost it to 3N? jonottawa
I'm definitely tempted to pass. It's awfully unilateral, but ranges are so wide here that somebody's going to have to start guessing at some point. Maybe my +120 will beat +110 or my +150 will beat +130 or I'll get a push at -100 or ♦ play better than ♣ and we get there this way. Wish I weren't dummy. If I were in 'avoid embarrassment' mode I'd bid but I just don't think we have any reason to believe that our 5-2 minor suit fit will usually play 2 tricks better than NT. andy_h
Definitely not pass. We may hit a 6-2 fit or we might be able to ruff a diamond or maybe our LHO will over compete and we nail them.
pooltuna
no is this equal to a "no bid"? :o

jdonn
Pass is a bad idea, but 3NT is an attempt at humor I assume. Anyway 3♣ wtp.
