ArtK78
What contract do I want to be in? 1NT. How do I get there? 1♦ - 1NT - All Pass. The idea of bidding 2♣ on the East hand, even playing old-fashioned standard, is repulsive. If the East hand is a 2♣ response to 1♦, then the West hand is not an opening bid.
