dake50
I like DA first. Not much percent between the two choices --gut instinct, not summed --BUT when DA drops DK to make this slam, opponents will be demoralized.
pooltuna
Gut reaction is not to take 2 ♦ finesses because of losing squeeze chances for ♠/♥. So I play A♦ and if neither opp plays K or J I lead a ♠ to dummy and lead towards the Q9♦.
Fluffy
♦ to the ♦Q if it holds and ♦3-2 you have no more problems in hearts
keylime
I think A♦ and then leading back to the Q-9 is the right play here.
pooltuna
♦ to the ♦Q if it holds and ♦3-2 you have no more problems in hearts actually the %age play looks to be to duck unless RHO plays something higher
whereagles
you'd need a calculator to get this one right.. just pick any line that comes to your mind, as they all seem close to each other in odds.
lamford
I think it is right to cross to a spade and finesse the queen of diamonds, as recommended by Fluffy, but if it loses I think it is then right to play for the jack to be doubleton, so that we keep the heart-spade squeeze intact. That loses a bit in diamonds but gains a load in the majors - still winning when hearts are 3-3 but also when four hearts are with four spades, not to mention avoiding a spade ruff if they are 5-1.
