babalu1997
we were inspired by this dude`s recent post: http://forums.bridgebase.com/index.php?sho...ndpost&p=495955 **************************** I accidentally partnered with a believer in the principle that a 15-17 1nt opening could not contain a doubleton. The bidding goes: 1 DIAMOND BY PARTNER i have a samll diamond in diamonds, the ace of clubs and three hearts to the queen, so i bid 1 NT the opps overcall: 1 SPADE partner, holding Kx of spades bids: 3NT she only had 15 hcp, the opps took the first 5 tricks, before i could reach for the oxygen. hanp
Did you explain that it is not legal to bid 1S over 1NT?
bucky
Other than the irregular 1S bid over 1NT, this is pretty much norm on BBO. Actually I would expect worse. Quite a few times I saw in similar sequences the opener bid 3NT with 13 HCP, not 15.
