your bid

this looks much like another hand

partner made a forcing pass (and he did not make a penalty double). I'm driving to slam and 5 is probably exclusion keycard so I will bid that. if I don't know what 5 is/I think partner will not understand, I can bid 5, showing a good suit in addition to my spade shortness.

I'm not very experienced with excl blackwood, so I am wondering how much you have learned if P shows only one kc. Do you just bid 6 and hope the trumps are good enough? What would 6 show over 1 kc? Also, what is the worst hand P should hold for his forcing pass over 4?

thx, trying to get better at these high level competitive auctions. :lol:

[hv=d=w&v=b&s=sha1085dakqj74ckj6]133|100|Scoring: MP

(P) P (P) 1

(P) 1 (1) 3

(4) P (P) ?

what now and why? do you agree with S's 3 call?[/hv]

I would have bid 5 but I suppose 5 is better assuming that it is exclusion RKC.
