I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this hand is made up

I was shown the hand record sheet, folded to give it to me as a lead problem, so it was made up seemingly by a dealing program. All hands are made up - that is the beauty of the game.

 

I actually think the low diamond is right now, but was as sceptical as you for a long time.

Yeah and there is only 1 legit lead to beat it, a low diamond. Don't know how well you know the guy but it wouldn't shock me if he just made up that he led a low diamond and that his partner put in the queen for a story.

I thought this too; I don't know the guy at all - indeed I did not get his name.

And if your opponent rebid 2♦ with Axx and partner has Jxx? He may have had no good lead in other suits, like Qx of spades, ace of clubs, etc.

I don't think we will be beating it when West has six hearts, and 2D was systemically four cards. And Jxx into the 2D bidder would seem a poor choice.

Lol Jxx of diamonds into opener's suit is a poor lead therefore it's completely to assume partner must have Ax!
