pooltuna
gut reaction is A♣K♥x♦ hoping RHO is sleepy enough to play the Afailing thatA♥Q♥x♠ to the T planning on playing the A♠ hoping to catch any HH or LHO with Hx EDIT: oops missed need to hide text
vuroth
My thought is to ruff out 3 diamonds, hoping to drop the ace, or maybe have an honour fall. K♥ is my first entry, I'll cash the AQ♥ after the second diamond ruff (can't see a reason not to just take them from the top). If all that fails, spade to the ten, covering. If I win, I'll return the ten. If not, next time I can play spades I'll play the ace, hoping an honour drops.

All you need are 4-3 clubs to have a claim: 1. ♣Q2. ♦ ruff3. ♣A4. 2nd ♦ruff5. ♣K6. ♠A7. 3rd♦ruff Scoring 6♥, 3♣, 1♠. At the table, hearts were 3-3, but the ♦A came down in 3 rounds, so you make 7. vuroth
I'm confused. If ♦s, are 5-2, there's no claim. I'm also confused as to the value of cashing the K♣ before drawing trump. Making 7 is less important to me than having a sensible line. Sometimes I play badly and score well - doesn't make me happy.
Phil
True, claim is an overbid.
JLOGIC
Since knowing whether clubs are 4-3 or 5-2 is so vital or not, and since they led a club at trick 1 which is the trick they will never be falsecarding, it would have been helpful if you provided some info other than "they lead a low club." If they led the C2 and play 4th best, then we could play as you advise If they led the C2 and played 3/5th that would look pretty ominous, but if they led the 3rd lowest spot playing 3/5th that would look pretty good, the 2nd lowest spot if they play 4th best is scary etc etc.

I really wanted to show an elopement theme in the B/I, and looking back it might not even be the best technical line.
