pooltuna
red vs whiteIMP pairs opps using 15-17 INTyou are in 4th seat using SAYC you hold KQJ7KJT865297 and hear the auction P-P-1NT-? Your call?
aguahombre
Your choices are not SAYC. SAYC is X=penalty, suit bids=natural. SAYC is not a flexible card. You are allowed only one or two alterations. http://www.hegerm.ch/textes/sayc.html
gwnn
I will bid 2♥?
rduran1216
who plays brozel haha, looks like a great hand for it though. I bid 2H meckwell
gwnn
I play Lionel which is similar to Brozel, but with natural 2M bids. This would not be a good hand for Brozel, if you mean you'd like to show both majors with 2♥, partner will not know to pass when 3-1 or 3-0 in the majors. aguahombre
Since the real choices are some number of hearts, I choose 3. Maybe with the heart queen and a bullet, pard will raise.
P_Marlowe
Hi, with 7-4, I wont introduce spades, so it is showing hearts, and giventhe vulnerability 3H is enough, but 4H is not out of this world. With kind regardsMarlowe
Pict
3H seems clear in this particulart scenario.
MFA
Why is 3♥ 'clear'?It's not an invitational bid, so he is not going to raise just because he has two aces or one ace and the ♥Q. He will need overall good cards + fit as well.If we take the realistic view that our passed hand partner is not going to find a raise to 4♥ a significant portion of the time (when he can't raise 2♥ to 3) then there is only the risk left by bidding 3♥ instead of 2♥. aguahombre
MFA, perhaps partner will notice the vulnerability and take a wild guess that I noticed it, too.
JLOGIC
Yeah I think 3H here shows a good hand like intermediate. I would just bid 2H though, minor suit kings are not useful at all and partner won't know that.
Fluffy
Yeah I think 3H here shows a good hand like intermediate. I would just bid 2H though, minor suit kings are not useful at all and partner won't know that. partner is sitting with a strong NT behind and will expect us to have a shortness somewhere, I don't think he will overvalue kings much. cherdanno
I'd bid 3H, surprised it's not more popular. If partner raises with an ace, it will probably be a decent game, and meanwhile it makes it tougher for them to decide between 5m and 3N. aguahombre
13 of 16 votes, in a close situation seems popular to me.
the hog
I bid 3H. This is a very nice hand for transfer overcalls; bid 2D followed by 3H.
Siegmund
I guess I am the lone voice in the wilderness, wanting to show both majors even with 4-7... (though the two-suited methods arent a part of basic SAYC its mighty rare I have someone want to play SAYC but NOT add one of them.) If I were playing one of the fancy 2-suited methods that lets me show whether my higher or lower suit is the longer, I will be even happier to use it. If I don't hurry and press Submit I will let myself be talked into 3H :)
Codo
I guess I am the lone voice in the wilderness, wanting to show both majors even with 4-7 You are the wild voice in the lonelines... And there is a reson why you should not treat a one suiter as a two suiter. :)Or do you prefer 4-2 fits to 7-0 fits?
Free
4♥ for me, might be an overbid...
