Note to self: Don't double Roger.

The problem is an issue of methods. It would be great on this hand to double and if partner bids 3S, to play that 3N is absolutely to play. That is unfortunately not the case, since partner will pull 3N to 4S basically anytime he has 5 spades (we showed a flexible hand and he must have nothing in diamonds). This would be bad for us, since 5C is in much more danger of going down than 3N.

Double gains when partner doesn't bid 3S (either 4S showing some signs of life, even though this may be a tricky auction, or 3H/4H which would be amazing since we can bid keycard). I don't think it's worth the risk though, but I could be wrong. It's not like anyone has a lot of experience with this kind of hand.

:P 6 I suppose since I can pull trumps and the king is a strong favorite not to be on my left. Otherwise 3NT. I am NOT going to double with a stiff spade. Having two opponents at the table is tuff enough for me.

Looking at the expected values in partner's hand, I would reckon him to have KJ in spades and nothing else. No entries to take the heart finesse, so 6C looks like 2 or 3 off. 3 will play there, as even if partner has K in addition, he will pass because I may be much weaker.

It has to be X. Ace ask if he bids hearts, 3NT if he bids spades.

6H

Damn, my pattern recognition doesn't work well enough. This time I haven't even thought about it :(

hah it doesnt make sense on this hand since your side 3 card suit is solid meaning you won't need the discards so you're fine :P
