Fluffy
I pass, its their hand anyway, no need to alert them of anything.
JLOGIC
Well I'd bid 2C with xxx xx ATx AQJ9x so I don't see why I wouldn't do it here. My hand/diamonds are not good enough for me to want to pass in order to try to show both minors later, I'm happy to show my clubs and get a good lead in/possibly find a good save/make in clubs/ mess up their auction with 1-1 in the majors opposite a passed partner. jdonn
I overcall 2♣ so the usual can happen - LHO being light and making a negative double with 3-5 in the majors and his partner having 4 of the right one.
mikeh
Can't pass, even vulnerable opposite a passed hand. It is too important to take away the 1-level.

pooltuna
at these colors I pass; at any other I start with 2♣ to inject some difficulty into their auction

I take you didn't miss the I in front of MP well as Vul=N/S with Dealer = N(your partner)?

Phil
Hi Gnome hope you had a good tourney. Maybe I've been on these forums too long but the other thread looks like a totally obvious pass / 4♥ to me and this hand is a clear 2♣ call. Echognome
I passed on the actual hand, although regretted it when thinking about how difficult 1♦ - (2♣) auctions can be. My intent was to come in later with a bid showing both minors (although I take Justin's point that the hand is not good enough for that action). As it happens, I didn't get the opportunity, so it all worked out. At the other table, this hand overcalled 2♣ (good), but then jumped to 5♣ over partner's good raise and went for a number. I think the problem was in the valuation, given partner is a passed hand.

Free
With the vulnerability reversed I'd probably overcall 4♣, now it's a simple 2♣ imo.
