peachy
GIB seems to systematically play King from dummy from KJx or KJxx on opening lead in that suit. Why is GIB assuming that opening lead is from under the Ace? I have seen this at least ten times. here is a typical example: Board 17 in Robot Race #3389. barmar
I've posted about this before. In fact, I wrote about it yesterday in a r.g.b discussion of GIB. The problem is that GIB just does double dummy analysis, from the point of the lead. It doesn't back up and try to figure out what kinds of hands would have made that lead. Someone in the r.g.b thread suggested that GIB should have a special case: assume that opening lead in a suit is not away from the Acs unless that's the only holding that allows making. jamegumb
Has this been fixed? On two occasions yesterday I noticed GIB duck with Kxx(x) in dummy facing a singleton in hand on the opening lead.
peachy
Has this been fixed? On two occasions yesterday I noticed GIB duck with Kxx(x) in dummy facing a singleton in hand on the opening lead. It is right to duck with Kxx or Kxxx in dummy. The question was about which card GIB plays from dummy on the Opening Lead from this combination: KJx, KJxx.

I thought it had learned something.
