So, partner rates to have a heart void and our A is less valuable than, say, a K would be. Then again, what does partner have? A source of tricks? If so, do we have 13? Tough to find out.

Matchpoints/IMPs and strength of field/opposition are kind of important factors for this decision, I feel.

Seems clear to force to 7D but give partner the option of converting to 7S. Maybe Justin is right in that 6H does this best, I thought about 5NT first.

Yes, I don't know why but 5N-6C-7D sounds much more interested for partner to correct to spades than 6H-6S/7C-7D. Like if I had 5 spades and 7 diamonds I would bid 5N. Maybe 5N just sounds like "2 places to play" where 6H then 7D sounds more like "I want to play diamonds but I tolerate spades and don't just have 9 solid diamonds" to me. Obv I don't have any actual agreements on this auction, so it just matters how you think about the situation, since you have other options like 5N then 6H then 7D available which I don't know wtf that is heh.
