The Auction

One way BBO differs from real life is that you can review the auction any time you want to during the hand. After the first trick, in real life, this is no longer possible. What is the general consensus: Should the auction stay visible for the players after trick one?

I like the idea of a feature where one could make the auction go away for the dummy play. I suspect the casual player is happy that it doesn't go away.

So my slight preference would be that the auction not be visible after the lead, but I can understand the reason that it is the way it currently is, and I'm content if it doesn't change.

Good topic imo.

I'm not sure asking what the contract is actually allowed, but 99.9% of players are good mannered enough to remind you if you ask

Because when we play in real life, we're focused entirely on bridge, but when playing on BBO sometimes we're doing other things (eg chatting to friends online) as well, it's nice to have the auction there. Perhaps for tournaments etc though an option could be added to remove it after the opening lead.
