wank
club. partner's marginally more likely to have acted with anything in hearts

Phil
No strong feelings but the ♦ isn't nearly as bad as everyone is suggesting.
mikeh
I think this is very close to a tossup between all 3 side suits. I usually lead from Kings more than from Queens and altho there are weak inferences in favour of clubs, I don't see them as overriding the reasons for the king underlead. The diamond Ace is a pretty close 3rd choice.... In essence, any suit but a trump seems defensible to me, but I would lead small heart as first choice, small club as second and diamond A as 3rd. dake50
If 2S is deviation it is very likely fearing hearts. Start heart.
P_Marlowe
Hi, the choices seem to be #1 spade / trump#2 a low heart#3 the Ace of diamonds, declarer is unikely to have the king, so it wont cost very often Most likely I would go with a trump. With kind regardsMarlowe
Poky
♦A The chance the ♠/♥/♣ lead will give something away is bigger than opener having the ♦K. Therefore, ♦A from length = clearcut. Pretty standard lead against RHO's preempts. I bet Versace led it too. :D
