Dwayne
If I have clients who want to play in the ACBL sanctioned tourneys on BBO, do I have to join the ACBL in order for the client to be eligible for the masterpoints? fred
Everyone who plays in ACBL tournaments on our site receivesACBL masterpoints regardless of whether they are ACBLmembers or not. Non-members who receive masterpointsdo not receive any notification of their masterpoint winningsfrom the ACBL until if and when they become members. So, to answer your question, your ACBL-member partner willreceive credit for ACBL masterpoints won on BBO even if his/herpartner (ie you) is not an ACBL member. Not sure why you don't want to join the ACBL, Dwayne, but Isuspect you would find it worthwhile to be a member (if, for noother reason, than to receive their monthly magazine). the hog
Fred, Dwayne is Australian, I am Australian. We both play primarilly here. - I sometimes play in Europe. What benefit would we get from joining the ACBL? What benefit would any non US player get? That is the point Dwayne is making?

That is a nice one with iteresting write ups of ACBL events (now that I watch them on BBO Vugraph, reading the views abouit them is actually more interesting), bidding contest etc. Ben
TimG
(now that I watch them on BBO Vugraph, reading the views abouit them is actually more interesting) But, the writeups of big events in the Bulletin pales in comparison to the same in the Bridge World. Of course, they cost less than half the price, at least for US residents.
Abadaba
Color me silly but I have collected and kept and cherish every ACBL Bulletin since I joined in 1776. True Bridge World is the best publication for high level bet the Bulletin and its contributors are right up there in my humble opinion.
