What if someone uses his telekinetic powers to transmogriph the soccer ball into opps' goal? Would it be treated as the equivalent of hands?

One time I was playing in a bracket 1 KO against someone who came to the table dressed in a wizard robe and hat. I thought it was a little strange but anyway he seemed pleasant enough and we started the set The first hand out of the box he was in 3N and had to guess KJx opp ATx for 3 tricks. He claimed on a hook through my partner and we put the hands back into the board. A little strange, but okay.

 

The next board he is on another queen guess to make 4S and he actually started levitating in his chair! He was trying to look into my hand! I called the director but he instantly stopped levitating and there was no proof (his partner obviously didn't notice), and I sat there while he picked off my queen. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

 

We lost the match by a lot, and to this day I still think it is really unethical to use wizard or other psychic powers at the bridge table, because IMO it is just not in the spirit of the game.

In Orlando, I once sat down for a Regional Swiss and my 1 opponent asked us to do the shuffling. She was a midget with bad eyesight, arthritis and hearing aids.

 

Time to play, her partner arrived and he was a dwarf with a hunchback. The bidding boxes hung over the edge of the table and first bid, as soon as he touched the box it exploded out the bottom like dropping a boulder in a pool.

 

I've never felt so doomed in all my life and in 7 boards, we lost about 85 - zip.

Actually I found this question really interesting! I must be odd.

And i found it odd that I wrote "D a r n" instaed of "damn" to be more policitcally correct, but it still looks like "dam"

 

P.S. When all these poker pros take a long time to make a call and seem to be meditating, sure they may be reading body language, but I wonder if there's more "reading" being attempted? Phil comment?
