Puppet vs Regular Stayman/2NT

My question concerns Responder having a 4 card Major ( M ) and a longer minor ( m ) , slammish-- Puppet vs NO Puppet.

1) If playing NO Puppet:

2NT   -   3C! ( Regular Stayman )

3M    -   4m = ??

Is 4m = a) natural ( 5+m) and 4oM ( 4 cards in the other-Major ) , slammish ? or

              b ) an advance cue agreeing M ?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

2) Playing a common version of Puppet:

2NT    -      3C! ( Puppet )

3D ( have one or both 4 cd Majors )   -     3M! ( NO 4M but have 4oM )

3NT ( have 4M but NO 4oM )   -     4m = clearly natural, 5+minor, slammish

Whaddya think ? Puppet seems to remove the ambiguity.

Or am I missing something ?

After 2N:3C, 3M, bidding 3S over 3H or 4H over 3S should be slam-try for the major. 4m is natural.

Playing regular Stayman, opener doesn't know which major responder has after 2N:3C, 3D:4m, and while you're not likely to want to play in it, it can still be useful to know. Most versions of puppet don't have this issue.
