Bidding sequens is:

1 by North - Precision club- Promise 16+ any distribution;

1 by East - Natural -Promise 5+ cards in and 8+ HCP;

DBL by South - Artificial- Promise 5-7 HCP, any distribution;

2by West -Natural;

3 by North - 5+ cards 16+ HCP;

3 by East;

4 by South- Natural - 5+ cards , 5-7 HCP;

Pass by West;

5 by North - 3+ cards in and 16-18 HCP;

Pass by East;

6 by South - For play!

Lead is J by West. Ruff by North, small by East, small by South.

Give the right plan of play!

K, draw trumps ending in dummy, play 4 rounds of discarding your 's and a , now play K. You only lose A.

 

This is imps, I won't try for overtricks and go down!

Yeah, this is clearly right, but you'd be pretty unlucky if playing for the overtrick caused you to go down.

 

3 rounds of clubs pitching hearts and the ruffing heart finesse is not silly, as it's unlikely W is short in H or C as this would give E a monster 2 suiter.

6 + 1 ruff + 4 + 1 = 12 so it doesn't 'get' you anything.

 

If trump are 2-1, then the ruffing finesse makes sense for 7.
