mohitz
♠x ♥KTxxx ♦AQJ ♣Kxxx Partner opens 1♠, we bid 2♥, partner bids 4♣ splinter in support with hearts. 1♠ - 2♥4♣ - ? 4♦ would be diamond cue with slam interest. Your call?
peachy
4D. Even if Kxxx clubs is completely worthless, I still have the remaining two suits controlled so I want to cooperate. Compare the actual hand to x-QJxxx-AQJ-KJxx which is also consistent with the bidding so far.
Fluffy
Bad trumps, down the middle support, bad clubs... and we are minimum. 4♥ thanks.
jdonn
Definitely agree with Fluffy. Our hearts are bad, we are minimum, we are short in partner's suit, and the club king is wasted. I sign off and it's not even close.
bluecalm
4♦. When we have shortness opposite hand which splinters it's usually not wise to signoff. EDIT: after thinking about it a bit I think it depends what exactly 4♦ means; the way we play it it's "not hopeless hand". If it's strong slam interest I agree with 4♥.
