gnasher
3♠ looks normal.
dicklont
3♠ looks dangerous, but I do it anyway.
whereagles
3♠ looks like the right bid anyway

cherdanno
How can 3♠ be dangerous when the other table will obviously bid it, too?
pooltuna
[hv=d=w&v=b&s=sa10987haxdkj10xcxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP(3♣)-ps-(ps)-??[/hv] IMO the only feasible alternative to 3♠ is X. Note that feasible does not mean that X is equal or superior to 3♠. I would personally choose 3♠ as a WTP

foo
[hv=d=w&v=b&s=sat987haxdkjtxcxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP(3♣)-ps-(ps)-??[/hv] If we assume (3C) has a range of 5-10 or 4-9 (ask!), GOP is expected to have (28 - (15/2 or 13/2))/2= (20.5 or 21.5)/2= 10 1/4 or 10 3/4 HCP 12 + 10.5 = 22.5We rate to be at least 50% likely to be safe at the three level. A similar calculation can show that We are more than 50% likely to have a ♠ fit. As long as GOP knows not to jump the bidding unless they have 12+ Dummy Points (I =am= Balancing after all), I bid 3S. WTP?
