pirate22
Con grats to FG a fine win-and makes BBO now very important!!!!!!!!!!!World-Wide.WEB CAMS----forward to the 22nd Century..... Suggestion---Closed room--- {a} Overhead camera, sufficient Focus to see Cards played. {b} a camera focused N/E position. {c} a camera focused S/W position. As applied in Lillihammer to current players at Table 1 in Swiss pairs.with Photo's per 30 Seconds??????????????????at least it put a face to a name-Np.Also applcable to the recent "Springold" Tourney-if this Facility was availableto the Main event-Our senses would have been---Dare I say "Hightened"even witnessing Duboin flicking a Fly away during the auction This Technology is the ANSWER---Where TV failed, understandably,Internet was not available------------INTERNET is and is the Answer.I as an individual am prepared to pay for this insight----------But FG is a MOVER------------Lets bring Bridge to the Masses at N/Charge------------My vote goes to FG for next PRESIDENT of the WBF----------restating FG is a Mover regards

pirate22
What was interesting also with "Lillehamer" with the 30 second shots, was the body language after---------and when no play the shots showed persons milling about----------men mostly in Knee Trousers Showing their wonderfull spindly legs:):) women in full length trousers-spoil sports:):)
mrdct
Also applcable to the recent "Springold" Tourney-if this Facility was available to the Main event-Our senses would have been---Dare I say "Hightened" even witnessing Duboin flicking a Fly away during the auctionIn addition to the very high standard of operating in terms of following play to completion and obtaining descriptions of alerted bids, the extent of commentary on the non-bridge action by the operators (such as the fly waving) was superb at the Spingold. I quite like webcams to complement the vugraph, but in practice I might only glance at it once or twice during a session due to my very limited screen space. For events coming from places with abundant bandwidth, I think streaming video and audio from the playing room would be superb and it's well worth looking into, perhaps as a pay-per-view service. If it was available I'd be happy to pay for it and would invest in a bigger monitor.
pirate22
MRDCT---hook your computer to ones TV screen----As in my case a 50" Flat screen-with computer connection ports. ======Forgot to mention, one still needs the commentators inputs-Humour-Commentator's curses-and explanations.I also read somewhere, that plans afoot for live commentaries,is that for real?Regards
pirate22
This table under the watchfull eye of the "Web-Cam" has produced some very odd bidding sequences..........taking into account its the top table, and participents, are either over the top----------or cowed.Perhaps there is an invisable Halucinatery mist dropping from above:):) Never the less very entertaining
