I just noticed that there is an advanced-expert forum and a novice-intermediate forum. A quick glance reveals that the posting population in both groups are quite similar. Shouldn't there be a test administered before someone can give their advice in the advanced-exprt forum?

IMO, it is better to ask "Shouldn't there be a test administered before someone can give their advice in the beginner/intermediate forum?"!

Advance/expert players are (or should be) more capable of recognizing bad advice than beginner/intermediates.

But I don't think either test is necessary. If someone gives advice which is, let us say, questionable then they will quickly be told the error of their ways by follow up posters.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only "Intermediate" guy posting here...everyone else is Advanced or better. And I always preface my comments here with something to the effect of "I'm not an expert by any means but..."

I'm sure if I get on the experts' nerves they'll let me know.
