I wouldn't take either of them as forcing but 2 should perhaps be. Just don't be mad at me if I pass out your 2 level pass or 2M bid in competition where ownership is far from clear.

This hurts but I agree. Redouble can be a strong hand but often is just a decent hand with a doubleton club. That should not create a force. And as gnasher said, with 5+ spades and not enough to force we could have bid 2S on the previous round.

that was my concern, too. Everyone at the table is acting. However, that makes me wonder if 2S is even real length. Conclusion: it is something like 5-(3-3-2) and choice to play 2S or 3C. That hand might not choose to bid 2S or 3C on the previous round, but rather make a snappish redouble then show two places to play.

 

Edit: Maybe responder thought that, after the neg double, a direct 2S should guarantee 6 of them.
