ONEferBRID
Good/Bad 2NT....and then bid 3S over pard's forced 3C....hoping that shows Honor-x in spades or constructive w/3...because 3H! would show a limit w/3.
Little Kid
I am not sure but I think 2NT would have been inv+ and 4+♠ for the pair I was kibitzing. I was assuming: 2♠: simple ♠ raise2N: inv+ 4+♠3♣: Nat GF3♦: Nat GF3♥: inv+ 3♠3♠: preemptiveetc..
CSGibson
2♠. My doubleton is a good one, and I have extra values to compensate for my lack of a 3rd spade.

whereagles
I don't do this often, but I'll try 2♠. Will double later if opps get happy.
JLOGIC
2S, absolutely hate to do it but no other choice is reasonable.
gnasher
Did I mention the idea of playing 2NT as an invitational+ transfer to clubs?
cherdanno
Did I mention the idea of playing 2NT as an invitational+ transfer to clubs? I don't think you have ever mentioned transfers as a possibility in this auction (or similar ones).
jdonn
Though I haven't done so I know those who play if they pass and opener reopens with double 2NT is lebensohl. That's the only thing that would convince me to pass here.
dake50
Agree CSGibson. If I were going to 3S, I want to show my clubs to alert partner CAQ are gold; DAKJ not much. But 3xH losers (the death-kiss in competing), DQ unguarded ain't going up. Doesn't 2S leave partner his game tries? If he wants Which way using 2NT artificial + negX + 3H Q-bid shows C-suit fit bid? Immediate 3C? 2N, negX, Q then 3S? NO way to show fit non-jump?
