Little Kid
[hv=d=w&v=b&s=sak9765432hqt8d5c]133|100|Scoring: IMP1♦ - 1♠3NT* - ? * 3NT: Good 6-7 card suit, semi-bal hand with unbid suits usually stopped. You respond very light to openers and his strength is anywhere from a minimum GF to just under a 2♣ bid. Normally 6222, 6331, 7321 and 7222 shapes. [/hv] Do you agree with 1♠? What would you do if the auction proceeded like this?
jdonn
I have no way to force in spades here so I have to guess. 6♠ I suppose. I would probably just try 4 if my singleton was clubs instead of diamonds. Maybe 4♣ or something should be a slam try for my suit. I never thought about it before but it doesn't make tons of sense for me to introduce a new minor on this auction.
benlessard
4D for me is always key in D so its an easy 4C for now, if partner has a H control he can bid 4D or 4H in wich case ill jump to 6S, otherwise ill correct 5D to 5S or pass a 4S cue. Fluffy
4♣ might mean whatever, but we are never getting any accuracy anyway, so lets just try 6♠ wich rates to make.

If so we could easily belong in a 5=3 minor suit fit at the slam level.
jdonn
I seriously doubt it...

Phil
What would 5♣ be? Gerber obv :( Thats my call; we might as well get to 7♠ is pard has three aces. I can't out what I need to know if pard is missing one, so I will settle for 6.
lmilne
4♣ should totally be artificial! On this hand, not sure... 6♠ is ok, I guess.

Phil
Good thing only 100's of people are reading my horrible syntax and grammar. I wonder what is going through my brain sometimes. I still bid 5♣ in case you are wondering.
mrdct
I'd bid 5♣ as exclusion rkcb in ♠ (last suit bid naturally) and if partner shows me two keycards I should have plenty of room to ask about the ♦K and ♥K to potentially bid the grand. Dream auction: 1♦ : 1♠3NT : 5♣(1)5♠(2) : 5NT(3)6♥(4) : 7♠(5) (1) Exclusion RKCB in ♠(2) 2 keys no ♠Q(3) Asking for ♦K (doesn't ask for ♣K due to known void)(4) ♦K & ♥K(5) I hope this ♠ suit will play for no losers! whereagles
Would be nice to have gadgets. But I don't, so I'll join the 6S bandwagon.
Apollo81
I would bid 6♠ with either 9310 or 9301.
