RedCat08
Hi, Has anyone else experienced this problem? I was just on the web client playing in a tournament. The opps were extremely slow and I was dummy. I got disconnected (for inactivity?) -- very frustrating and has happened before, last time was in between rounds. My solution to that is to keep up chat with my partner when waiting for a round change. Today I was just trying to be patient and didn't want to chat to the table to stay active. Suggestions? aguahombre
Yeh, if the opps get replaced due to inactivity, and you don't do anything during that same time, you get replaced, too. If your pard called the Director, or anything, she stays....albeit with a new partner. I asked this question a while ago, and got the same (none) interest. babalu1997
i dont think you get repalced for inactivity when the tourney is unclocked the slowest tables wait for a long time somebody thinks the game is not over, ususally a sub, they call td and the td mistakenyl thinks you are not bidding and replaces you

RedCat08
Thanks for the replies. I was thinking that both times were something having to do with the browser and inactivity but now I am thinking they might not be connected. The second time was actually in the middle of board one when I was dummy and the opps were slow and I know my partner did not call the director -- will remain a mystery. Perhaps a blip in my service. Thanks again for chiming in. SueRedCat08
Rain
The BBO timeout for inactivity is prefaced with "You will be timed out for inactivity" warning, and if you show any activity it will not happen, so like the others, I don't think that is it. If you were replaced by a TD, you will still be in BBO, just not in tournament, so this doesn't sound like it either. Much more likely that you were the one who suffered a disconnection, so from your point of view your opponents were not doing anything, but it's really your connection. Then you got disconnected. TrialBid
The BBO timeout for inactivity is prefaced with "You will be timed out for inactivity" warning, and if you show any activity it will not happen, so like the others, I don't think that is it.Um, actually may refer to a problem that I've already reported. In the flash version, activities that seemingly should reset the timeout clock obviously do not. If I have only been doing things like browsing and refreshing the list of coming tournaments the timeout warning will pop up right as I am doing those things. Since you do not have a long time from see the prompt until it cancels your session, you may therefore get disconnected when you don't expect to be: You were chatting in an untimed game and it looks like it's going to be a while. You say brb to get coffee, answer nature's call, or whatever, and you are mysteriously disconnected when you come back 2 minutes later. The prompt appeared but you didn't see it.
