Flash teaching table

It is not possible to load lin files using the web client. This applies to teaching tables, bidding table and team matches. I have not heard of plans to change this.

One option is to use the Deal Source 'Advanced' tab to generate hands according to specific criteria. There is an example of this on my blog that I used for generating hands suitable for competitive bidding.

Or you can load them in the win client and save them to your hand folder. This is kinda tedious of course.

I think this is shorthand for:

* Log in using the web client

* Log in using a different user id using the windows client

* Start a teaching table with the windows client and download the hands from a lin file

* Go rapidly through each hand, saving it on the web client (Options, Export Deal ...)

As Helene says, tedious.

Thanks, Paul. Yes that's how it can be done. Actually I think you need to log in anonymously through the web client. Or, alternatively, using two computers.

Logging in anonymously through the web client would not let you export/save the deals in a place where you could find them later.

  • 2 years later...

2 1/2 years later and I still don't know how to get the functionality I had in BBO Windows.

After the team game yesterday I wanted to start a teaching or bidding table, load the hands and go through

each one with my partner. Without the hands being saved to my C:\ drive I don't know how this can be done.

I do know that you can save "all deals" via the options tab from the results screen and then I assume load them

to a TT but I have never done it.

Could I have used the save "all deals" from the results screen even though the table closes after the last board in a TG,

how soon after the TG must I remember to do this? If this works, does it save only the hands from the TG or all hands I have

played or kibitzed during that BBO session?
