Cyberyeti
The second of these is much the more interesting, my partner decided on a ruffing diamond finesse as the best bet, so played D AJ at tricks 3 and 4, and E discarded a club on the second one, now what ? Fluffy
sorry I am late. first one I am ok playing 7♠. I play 1 spade and 3 hearts planing to ruff as cheaply as possible. second one is more interesting. I'd play the same as your partner. But once RHP ditches this is very hard it would be useful to know club pips on the lead from LHO to knwo how many he's got. Assuming no relevant info I tink best plan is to just discard a spade and overruff RGO many times untill he's out of trumps. Finesing LHO for his heart honnor (wich might likelly be singleton anyway).

Finesing LHO for his heart honnor (wich might likelly be singleton anyway). Pips are consistent with Q or 10 to 3 or 4 on your left, no way of knowing which. The opening club is 4+ cards and they were not playing inverted raises. Given that he is known to hold 6 diamonds to the Q and 3 or 4 clubs to the 10 at worst, he's not that likely to hold KH, and might not have passed 1C with the Q. Certainly if he has either S Q or J or C Q he'll dredge up a bid with a heart honour. The first hand I was just interested what line people took, anything works with spades 3-2 and hearts 3-2 onside, but there are options here, my partner played as you did. Cyberyeti
The other hands are these, so if you pitch on the diamond, you're going off. [hv=w=sj64h3dq98754c1042&e=sq98hkq6d2cakq975]266|100|[/hv] If you just keep ruffing diamonds in hand, cashing the K at some point, I think E has a problem he can't solve. eg, ruff the JD, spade to A, KD (assume E pitches clubs, pitching one spade is irrelevant, if he pitches 2, you can hook the 10S, if he ruffs the KD low you can give up a spade, if he ruffs high, I don't think it changes anything), diamond ruff, club ruff, diamond ruff leaves N with S K2, H A98, E with H KQ6, CQ and either another club or QS, and S with S 107, H J10, CJ. The score is 7 tricks to 1. If E has discarded his spades at this point, hook the 10S, if he's kept a spade and a club, club ruff, KS and the AH to come
