pooltuna
Sitting in first seat playing IMPS and using a KS based system with 12-14 NT you hold[hv=d=n&v=n&s=sk83hjtdakqtcj982]133|100|Scoring: XIMP[/hv] You hear the auction proceed 1NT (P) 2♥* (X); 2♠* (P) 5♠? (P); ? What call do you make? and is it obvious?
gwnn
It might mean that he lacks a heart control. It also could be a general slam try. It will be a disaster if I bid and he meant it as #1 but it is not a disaster if I pass but he meant it as #2. So I pass.
Phil
Pard is definitely looking for a heart control.
peachy
With the 2H bid doubled, N is asking if S has heart control. If not, Pass. Had there been no Dbl of the transfer bid, I would not know what 5S is but guessing general slam try; go with AK oriented, Pass with soft hand. MFA
Pass. Obvious. Unless you like minus scores.
jdonn
It's a shame that partner has a diamond void.
