babalu1997
i bid 3d, i cant get back to my hand if partner is short and the tenaces in dummy are exposed the bidding went 1s-dbl-pass-3diamondpass-pass- dbl-pass3s-p-p-dblall pass it was down several and score 96 percent
Codo
If you write 96 % in your collum, there are three possibilities: 1. You are insane and got lucky2. The opps are insane and you got lucky.3. You bid/played a hand better then anybody else on this planet. I still wait for 3 to happen. 1 NT ihad been clear cut/ 3 Diamond was insane, mabye they had been insane too with their bids, what do I know. MFA
I would surely bid 1NT. i bid 3d, i cant get back to my hand if partner is short and the tenaces in dummy are exposedI don't think this is the right line of thinking. But even if we follow it, then either partner has only 3 diamonds and it is a disaster in 3♦ or he has 4 and we have a reentry to the hand on the fourth round. (I assume the minors were reversed, and we have ♦Jxxx ♣xxx, not ♦xxx ♣Jxxx)

helene_t
Hey Lu, What's wrong with 1NT? Surely you would rather have five diamonds for the 3♦, maybe sometimes you will have to bid 3♦ on a fourcard suit, but here you have a perfect 1NT bid. babalu1997
Hey Lu, What's wrong with 1NT? Surely you would rather have five diamonds for the 3♦, maybe sometimes you will have to bid 3♦ on a fourcard suit, but here you have a perfect 1NT bid. i bid 3 diamonds because i had some defense in their bid suits and it was the only 4 card suit jxxx and also i have never seen anything good happening when i bid nt in these situations, the opps will lead other suits, and i might not even get to those spades yes roland, #2, the opps were indeed insane, my rho dbled holding nothing but 2 diamonds and 2 sapdes and also when people bid nt that way when i am the opp, i forgo the 4th best, i lead 3 card suits and they are bamboozzled maybe it is my life in palookadom
