As one might expect, the value of this varies according to the auction.So 1♦ (1♥) dbl shows hearts? What about (1♥) dbl? This sounds like a fun convention! I personally play that double of 2♣ over 1NT is Stayman, and that most doubles of low level cue bids are 'stolen' bids as well. I play it as takeout of clubs in every partnership where it's been discussed. I think that doubling a cue bid in your partner's suit should be showing the suit, but when it's the doubler's own suit it should be takeout.
