trefl44
While working on a set of deals for a teaching table I encountered a few problems (BBO browser/movie):1. I couldn't edit an already created deal - modify hand, adding bidding/play, etc. - the only option available to me was to delete the whole hand and start from scratch;2. I couldn't change a dealer/vulnerability - working with a set of hands from a book I was unable to follow the order, for example for the board #1 the dealer is South, and NS are vulnerable and as we all know #1 == S/none. Is there anything that I am missing? Andrzej
diana_eva
On main page go to My BBO/Hands and Results. Click on Hand Editor. In order to edit a prepared hand click on "Deal Source" then select "Use Saved Deals". Select the Hand or the Folder of hands that you wish to modify, then close the "saved deals" window. Click on Redeal and the first hand from the selected Folder of deals will be loaded in the Hand Editor. Click on Edit and you can modify anything u wish. You dont have to start from scratch. trefl44
Thanks, but ...1. If I chose:dealer - Svulnerable - NSIt gives me deal number 15 (because of the dealer selection and vulnerability, obviously) - and I want to start from #1, is it possible to change number 15 to number 1 somehow?2. Editing is available in the web version, thanks - is it available in the BBO downloadable version as well?3. Can I create/edit my deal using the web version and then save it on my hard drive using the BBO downloadable version, or they are two different animals for this purpose? Thanks #2  Andrzej
diana_eva
1. No - maybe check this http://www.bridgebase.com/help/v2help/handviewer.html and see if it helps. 2. Yes. If you want to edit a Bridge Movie on the Windows version go to a teaching table, bidding table, chat room, anywhere you have the Movie button active and Load your saved Hands. Then you must start by erasing the bidding. After the bidding box is clear you can click on the cards dealt and delete them then replace with others. Remember to start by deleting a card, to make room for another. 3. No. The best way is to use the browser version for all teaching purposes, as it has a lot more useful features, plus it will be improved even more in the future. It makes no difference to the students - they see the same things no matter if they use the Windows version or the browser.
trefl44
In this case, what I plan to do is to convert to or even start in a pbn format and then go back to a lin format; I've tested - it is not that difficult. The other option would be to open a lin file in a text editor and do the necessary editing. Thank you for your help, Diana!
diana_eva
http://forums.bridgebase.com/index.php?sho...=37867&hl=movie y i guess you can open .lin with a text editor and modify - pls check the link above
