hanp
[hv=d=w&v=b&s=saxhaxxdxxxcq9xxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] (2D*) - p - (3H*) - p(3S) - Dbl - (p) - ?? 2D was multi, 3H was pass-correct. An initial double from partner would show 13-15 balanced or a strong hand. [hv=d=w&v=b&s=saxhaxxdxxxcq9xxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] (2C*) - 2NT - p - 3C*p - 3D* - p - 3H*p - 3S - p - ?? 2C was weak with diamonds or strong. 2NT showed 16/18 and 3C was puppet stayman. 3H showed 4 spades and 3S confirmed a 4-4 spade fit. [hv=d=w&v=b&s=saxhaxxdxxxcq9xxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 2NT - 3C*3D - ?? Another puppet Stayman auction.

655321
1) 5♣, partner should have a reason for coming into the auction over 3♠, and we have 2 Aces and a 5 card suit, I don't see how we can bid less. 2) 3NT, partner has bid NT and we also have some length in their suit so perhaps they can ruff a diamond in 4♠. I prefer to give partner a choice of games. Not looking for slam here. 3) 3NT I guess, not thrilled about any option here.
helene_t
Agree with Csaba but maybe I should make a slam try on 2).

If this is the first time for that strength and pattern opposite a 2NT opener, it won't be the last.

hanp
On hand 1 I bid 5C for -400 and a 3 IMP loss. The opponents can make 3S. On hand 2 my partner bid 3NT. This made +2 when I had AQxx AKQ Kxx xxx, 4S is down 1. I think that 3NT was a very good bid. On hand 3 I bid 3S, showing 4 hearts. My partner had K10xx AKJx Ax AJx and we played 4H+2. 3NT was made at some tables, but went down at the other table. Perhaps 3S was a bit odd, this was the last match in a swiss tournament and we were in 5th place. We could use a swing and I thought this was a good hand for trying something different that was still reasonable.
the hog
Don't like the methods used on hand one. What methods do you use? We experimented quite a lot with Ben's methods. (Inquiry). They were fun and they worked pretty well as well.
y66
That 4 heart showing bid on #3 in that situation was more than semi-imaginative.
