Trumpace
You are South and hold 82,A765,AK9652,A. You open 1D, partner responds 2C, and you end up in 6D ultimately. (opps passing through out). West leads the club 2 and you see. [hv=d=s&v=n&n=skq4hk43dq4ckq643&s=s82ha765dak9652ca]133|200|Scoring: RubberLead Club 2. Contract 6D.[/hv] Plan the play. jillybean
Pull 3 rounds of trump, ending in hand, lead low to K♠?

Echognome
You might want to consider what to do if trumps break 4-1.
helene_t
I don't see many chances with a 4-1 trump break. Here is one that could work if we are lucky: ♦A, ♦Q. Bad trump split appears. ♣K and Q, two spades go. Ruffing finesse in spades. East covers, we ruff. Now ♦K, and cash ♥A (partial elimination, the long trumps must have only two hearts). Heart to the king. Ruff a club. Maybe it gets overruffed, otherwise we concede a trump trick. And now hoping that whoever wins the the fourth trump trick has only spades left so we have a stepping stone to the fifth club. Alternatively we could start with a diamond to the Queen and if West plays the J or T, we finesse (restricted choice). AFAICS we can't combine the two plans since one requires us to win ♦A first and the other to win ♦Q first. Maybe if W is good enough to falsecard with ♦JTx it's best to go for the first plan since we won't rely on restricted choice anyway.
Cyberyeti
Hidden follows: The key situations are stiff J/10 of trumps on your left for the trump coup, and any other 4-1 break. Play ♦A and Q. If you have a definite trump loser, you have to discard spades on the clubs, and either take the ruffing finesse, or play for the man with the trumps to have only one heart, so you can ruff the clubs good immediately cash the high heart in your hand, and with a heart entry to the table exit with a trump and force him to open the spade suit. If the trumps are with W, you don't care who has the A♠ provided W only has one heart, if they're with E, you need E to have it so may as well take the ruffing finesse. This can be broken up by W if he has 4 trumps and 3 clubs by overruffing the 4th club and leading a heart, so basically the ruffing spade finesse is right unless you're certain W has 4 clubs and 4 diamonds. If you find stiff J or 10 You can pitch hearts on the clubs, ruff a club, 3 rounds of hearts ruffing and then play a spade, if W has something like a 3343 or (32)44 hand, with ♦Jxxx or 10xxx you will get home. pooltuna
Pull 3 rounds of trump, ending in hand, lead low to K♠? you can't play trumps normally if you can handle a 4-1 trump break with rho having 4 so you probably need to start with A and then small to the Q
vuroth
On about 30 seconds thought. Win with the A♣ (great play!), then low to the Q♦. Ruff a ♣. AK♦. If ♦s were 3-2, I was always going to be ok anyways. If they're 4-1, I can still make if ♣s are 4-3, so cash the KQ♣, throwing ♠s (using the K♥ as entry).
