mike777
Apologies - North was the Dealer. :) : even harder if north is: I will start;1c=1h2d=2s(art and game force...9/10+hcp)3c(deny 3h or 4s often)=? fwiw I play a pretty old fashion strong reverse style...but given the forum which prefers light reverses....tough......... mich-b
1♣ - 1♥2♦ - 2♥3♥ - 3♠4♣ - 4NT5♦ - 5♠7♣/♥ - 7♥ 2♥ = Forcing , 5+♥3♥ = 2 card support (often Hx) , no ♠ stopper (We bid 4♥ or 3♠ with 3 card ♥ support).3♠ & 4♣ = cuebids for ♥ (perhaps unnecessary..)4NT = RKCB 14305♦ = 0/35♠ = asking for Kings,showing all 5KC present , inviting grand(you can use 5NT if you prefer)7♣/♥ = I have a source for tricks and extras - should be enough. Does it look reasonable, or too optimistic?

It is very common in "modern" bidding for 1♣ - 1♥2♦ - 2♥to be played as forcing (for 1 round) , using 2♠ or 2NT for weak hands. Yes, you cant stop exactly in 2♥ (some people would respond 2♥ on the 1st round with that hand) , but you get much more flexibility with developing your auction, when 2♥ is forcing. Free
No real need to get scientific imo. 1♣ - 1♥2♦ - 2♠(something - 3♠)something - Blackysomething - K asksomething - 7♥/NT Opener shows 18+ without a ♠ stopper, so he must have pretty much the rest (especially if you keep asking with 3♠). Once you know about all Aces and every K except ♠K the grand slam is pretty obvious imo.
gwnn
I would never get there using (my) relays. N wouldn't find out about the heart J in time. So I am thinking I wouldn't get there without relays either

gwnn
in the relay system that I used long ago1C-1H1S-3D3H-4D4H-5D5H-5N shows Axx AQxxx Kxx xx without the ♠Q and uncertain jacks and we agreed that 6 level bids are never relays. tough luck, we are in 6NT and it's even wrongsided. oops. Fluffy
1♣-1♦ (same as 1♥)2♦-2♥ (GF relay asking distribution)2NT-3♥ (2245, 3♥ sets trumps)4♣-4NT5♦-5NT at this point north can count 12 tricks ♠A, 6♥, ♦A and 4♣ with a likelly 13th in ♠K, ♦ finese, ♣J, lucky club break, 7th ♥ or ♦K I think he should blast to 7♥ althou just showing ♣K might be even better since south is bidding 6♦ and now maybe 7NT comes into picture.
