If Dbl, what should opener do?Standard methods, Dbl would be negative etc etc.
MarkDean
North passing the double seems like a good place. Easy when you see all four hands. Edit: When I replied, the OP had a link to all four hands.
helene_t
S doubles, I think N bids 3NT then although pass is also an option.
gnasher
North passing the double seems like a good place. Easy when you see all four hands. Looking at all four hands, I'd prefer to be in 3NT or 4♠. If RHO has a singleton heart, 3♣ might well make.
rogerclee
I'm sure I would double with the south hand and pass with the north hand. Looking at both hands, it looks like playing 3N is best, and 4S is also quite a good spot, meh.
mich-b
Easy double from South.I would bid 3NT from North , though don't think Pass from North is poor.
Free
Dbl by South is clear, North's action depends on vulnerability imo: 3NT or pass.
Phil
3N is right most of the time. 4♠ looks OK too, especially if RHO has a penchant for six card WJO's. I have no idea how to reach 4♠ with confidence, even if I get to play a weak NT for one board. The likely auction is that South makes a negative double and North tries 3N. MFA
Yes clear negative double by south and a choice between pass and 3NT by north. I would prefer 3NT, but it's close.

Cyberyeti
I haven't seen all 4 hands, but on a club lead if they're 6-2, you're not making 3N very often. If you duck, a diamond switch establishes 5 tricks most of the time, if you win, W wins the first spade and plays a second club, so his partner can cash out when he wins the second one. 4S is better, but I suspect I'd be in 3N. The original OP had all four hands: obviously he changed his mind about that, but let me just say that they would not be making 3♣x. I wanted opinions on the NS actions. During the bidding you don't see all four hands so I wanted realistic answers (which I have seen here, thanks). Be happy to post all four hands, with a followup question first. I thought it was an interesting hand.
