gwnn
On discovering p with three aces and two kings, responder apparently has one outstanding loser, and since p apparently has 18-19 balanced, it's not necessarily clear where that loser is going to go! Of course all we need is a jack in one of the minors. If p had opened 2NT it would be a hell of a lot easier. Unless partner has AK tight in a minor, you have 0 losers. Bbradley62
1D-1H-2N-4C-4N-5C-5S-7N. Don't even have to set hearts as trumps before asking aces. More interesting question is how to NOT get there.
jdonn
Why does everyone in this thread want to insult Josh? Typical. Since when would I rebid 2♣ on a hand this good? Opening or rebidding 2NT are fine (well, mostly just opening). 3♣ is way better than 3♦ but that's moot since we all know 3♦ is awful. This would not be a hard hand to bid after a 2NT opening. Or after anything opener does really.
Jlall
I don't actually hate a 1D then 3C sequence but 1D 2N seems normal and I'd probably have opened 2N.
jjbrr
2n. I admit I wouldn't have thought to open 2N, but it does seem right.
