Fluffy
♠A9xx♥Axxx♦AJ♣Jxx ♠KQ10x♥QJ8♦x♣K10xxx south dealer, NS vulnerable, EDIT: it is IMPs pass- (2♥)-pass-(pass)3♣-(pass)-3NT- all pass diamond lead (no hearts )...
jjbrr
3NT is a lot opposite a passed hand
Jlall
I think south should just pass it out. If I didn't pass it out I would bid 2S not 3C, but with QJ8 of hearts I am always just passing. After 3C 3N I think 3N is normal, AQTxxx and out is a good game.
OleBerg
Not opening the South hand, is asking for truoble so bad, I can't spell it.
aguahombre
Opening the South hand is certainly reasonable. Not opening it is also reasonable. An ugly crossruff might make South wish he had passed throughout and not found the spade fit.
bluecalm
Not opening the South hand, is asking for truoble so bad, I can't spell it. I agree. I also think N has easy t/o double over 2♥.
hanp
I would open the south hand and later pass it out.

gwnn
I wouldn't open the S hand except if I was playing canape or something. I would not have acted from N or S after 2♥.
655321
I would open, having passed I would pass out 2♥.
jdonn
I also think N has easy t/o double over 2♥. lol Obv because he plans to pass lebensohl :)
bluecalm
lol Obv because he plans to pass lebensohl Why would I want to pass lebensohl ?i have 14count and my ♥Axxx makes it probable we don't have anything wasted in ♥. I prefer doubling now than being in really shitty spot after say: 2♥ - pass - 3♥ - passpass - ???? Where I can easily have 11trick ♠ game or go down for 800 in 3♠. MarkDean
I join the chorus that would have opened as South (although I think it is close), and would have passed it out as South if I did chose not to open. Agree with North's bidding.
pooltuna
♠A9xx♥Axxx♦AJ♣Jxx ♠KQ10x♥QJ8♦x♣K10xxx south dealer, NS vulnerable, EDIT: it is IMPs pass- (2♥)-pass-(pass)3♣-(pass)-3NT- all pass diamond lead (no hearts :))...yeah the light openers have it easy here. I expect the auction would go 1♣ (2♥) X (P); 3♠ (P) 4♠ all pass. Count this as a case for opening light.
Jlall
Why would I want to pass lebensohl ? He's just making an inside joke with me which all started when he wanted to X then pass leb then when I was at his house 2 days ago and we were ragin robodupes he did it with gib and got a good board. That said it wouldn't shock me if he actually would consider doing it with this hand too had he doubled which I'm sure he wouldn't.
whereagles
Either open S hand or balance with double. balancing 3♣ puts the eggs all in one basket, with the obvious consequences.
