Incidentally, if you were making detailed agreements for this auction, you should note that you have not only pass, DBL and 2NT, but also 2♠ available. 655321 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Share Posted May 18, 2010 3♣ seems normal, with an extra club (and without so many major suit losers perhaps) 5♣ would be possible, but 4♣ doesn't appeal to me. In the 4 card ending LHO cannot keep his ♦A guarded as well as keeping 3 spades, you have a complete count so you either ruff out his ♦A or cash the spades.
