the hog Posted May 17, 2010 Report Share Posted May 17, 2010 I would rather bid 3C than 2C. It is not difficult to construct hands where partner will pass 2C and you are cold for game. Would rather take the chance that she passes 2C. We probably belong in 4S, where there will not be brutal transportation issues; but we will never know on this auction. Ron, 3♣ is great if we nail a big fit, and if partner was about to pass 2♣, however, many feel its better if we try to box our hand, and not treat this hand as a GF.
