Echognome
With respect to the title of the thread, I prefer the latter.
ArtK78
With respect to the title of the thread, I prefer the latter. There is a difference between being hung well and being well hung. I suspect that you were referring to the latter rather than the former.

MFA
Double. It's time for -530 once again. B)I don't think we can make that much. If partner is void in hearts, he will bid 2♠ quite aggressively.
Jlall
Double. It's time for -530 once again. <_<I don't think we can make that much. If partner is void in hearts, he will bid 2♠ quite aggressively. They bid 3H slow so they have 5, LHO might have 4 though I guess. Whatever. If RHO was someone I knew to be a good MP player and I also knew he knew me to be good and very aggressive at doubling in this spot, I MIGHT consider not cracking this. But the current state of how MP is played makes this an obv X.
xcurt
Double. One of them is short in spades. If it's the long trump hand -- RHO -- we should be tapping out a long trump trick. If it's LHO, the taps will make the HJ into a trick by force. On a really good day the 8 might stand up too. The risk is that partner's side entry gets blown up early or never existed in the first place, then we get cut off from the spade winners in partner's hand. whereagles
this seems to be our side's deal and the hand is very defensive, so we gotta double... rather pointless at imps, but a need at MPs I think. may make, of course. but that's life

bluecalm
I double them? Seems obvious.I wonder if that's because you already posted it or it's just that obvious :-)
MarkDean
I would pass. I think I am closer to bidding 3♠ than to doubling, so maybe I am way out in left field on this one. If partner is something like 51(52) with the kings in his long suits, we could be making while they make 8-9 tricks in two hearts. Doubling may gain some MPs if they are down 1, but the big swings in MPs will be if they make or are down 2+, and it is not clear to me which of those is more likely. I have been bitten in the past doubling with unshown support, but I agree that this is the hand for it if one is going to make an exception.
