IN is simply not bridge. If you want to maximize mp entitlement (the reason most rush into NT), bid spades instead of diamonds.

 

I don't mind 2♠ very much, but this hand is not quite good enough, for spades, to want to have partner be aggressive. When one is choosing between rebidding a minor and raising, one factor to consider is that partner will often be forced to pass 2minor when knowing of major support would allow him to move towards game. But this hand is so weak that I don't mind being dropped in 2♦ even (especially) when he has a hand that would invite game if I had raised.

I think 2♠ is ok, assuming that we can describe the hand by bidding 3♦ over partner's 2NT inquiry. OTOH the hand isn't that good, if p can't move over 2♦ I think we are unlikely to have missed anything.

I dislike raising with 6322, 2♦ is fine. I would pretty much never raise with 6322, I was trying to come up with something well maybe AKQxxx and Axx. But usually with no singleton I rebid one of

2♦ is obvious but I disagree with the field on one point. I really don't think 1NT is much worse if at all than 2♠. To me it's like 2♦ = 10, 2♠ = 3, 1NT = 3.

I agree with the masses, defintiely 2♦. I would bid 2♠ before 1NT.

I only like to support on a 3 card if I have a problem with other rebids... Here I don't, 2♦ is pretty obvious imo. I have no reason to bid 1NT.

I'm not happy to raise with AKx because I don't like to see partner ruff with the K and A but I'd raise too because everything else looks worse.

2♦: the standard bid here. It will only be inferior if pard has 5314 and a weakish hand (he'll pass 2♦ when 2♠ would probably be better).

 

1NT: not a big lie and has the advantage of making it easy to reach a 2♠ contract.

 

2♠: this is guessing that 2♠ on what can be an xxxx suit across is a better contract than diamonds. It's one-sided, though it can work allright.

2D is normal, I have a 6 carder, although 2D does not promise 6.

2S is a matter of partnership agreement, I prefer to have a single,

if I raise with only 3 card support

1NT - why?

it is quite common to play 2H over 2D as artificial, one purpose

is to find a 5-3 fit in responders major.
