Codo
I had been 32 when I first passed a hand. You obviously started earlier.

spotlight7
Hi: This hand is not(repeat not) 13 more like a thin 12. El Paso is correct playing standard methods. I open most ten counts in a Big Club framework so I do open this trash. Regards, Robert

pirate22
Scenario----Into bridge-decided with my new found partner,to go to London, and play in my first congress-very excited-starting Friday midday-Sunday night.we arrived nice and early--To find that all the events (main) did not start untill 1900 hrs,but there was available a Duplicate pairs event, not in the congress @1300 hrs,so we decided to join the Blue rinse brigade, with due respect.and proceeded to play---after 7 rounds we were about to move, when the opponents stated, when you go to the next table, there are 2 Internationals,ty i said, getting a bit worried-so we moved,a gentleman and lady, unknown to me.International what does that mean??so picked up my hand-unsorted ---sorted 21 points-i counted L/R yes 21--I countedR/L yes 21 points opps shuffling about, not wishing to delay proceedings, I passed, yes i passed the shuffling added to my confusion... bidding proceeded,i was dealer P---P---P---1n/t(12-14) no bidding boxes and no announcement it came back to me and my 21 points --i had no long suit, more shuffling -so i passed again, and all passed out.so i led low from my long suit---a balanced dummy went down with 4 points, declarer won.plyd a card another suit i won continued my original suit won by declarer, and we bounced back and forth me winning opp winning, when it got to the 7/8 cards the lady Declarer was now shuffling even more and was very agitated rushed the rest of the play---we having secured 7 tricks,as i was counting our tricks-she tore the traveller out to fill in the result 1n/t by south MINUS 150 to us--HOW pretty it looked all the other results were 3n/t minus 1 50 to them.and the traveller flung back on the table..we played the next hand and dissapered without any comment from anyone.when the session ended i suggested we go and have a pint of beer-ok said my partner, ill get them--looking over my card and having a good slug of beer--i mentioned to my partner Hand 7 against those two internationals i had 21 points, although i think we got a top i did not know what to bid--we play 2n/t as 20-22 yes said my pard? well what do you bid with 21???My partner rmained silent:) we had a long fruitfull and succesfull partneship, for many years The names of the internationals were Boris Schapiro/Rixi Marcus, both fine players, now deceased, and although played against them many times, she always remembered me and that hand. helene_t
1st seat, matchpoints, w/w QAKJxQJxxxxxx You play primitive English Acol so a 1NT rebid shows 15-16 or maybe 15-17. I passed. RHO kept it open with 1♠. I doubled. P jumped to 3♥. I bid 4♥. P easily made 12 tricks.
