DWM
Fav Vun, Imps 1) (2♠) - P - (P) - X(P) What would you bid with KJQTxxxxQJxxQ 2) If you would not bid 4♥ with the above hand how would you need to improve it to make it a 4♥ bid. 3) After (2♠) - P - (P) - X(P) - (4♥) - (P) Would/what you bid on with AxxAJxxAxxxAK At the table I pressed on but the 2♠ bidder had Kx♦, Kx♥ and not the Q♠ so I went down. pooltuna
Chalk it up to bad luck. I vote with the chick, the cat chick, and the cat with the party hat.
Bbradley62
Yup. You bid with the probabilities and occassionally you go down. Hopefully you were playing in a strong enough field that everyone else was there too.
jjbrr
Although this contract wasn't as great as I think OP seems to suggest. The ♦Kx offside made no difference since stiff king anywhere is the only way not to have a ♦ loser.
awm
I'd bid 4♥ on the first hand. While I would bid on with the second hand, it's not clear to me that I'm worth forcing to slam. Perhaps a cuebid of 4♠ and a pass of 5♥ from partner (partner's hand is awful for slam and he will not cooperate) is reasonable. Partner could easily have something like ♥KQxxxx and out for the 4♥ bid, in which case 5♥ is the limit.

Jlall
Isn't this contract cold on a non diamond lead if you guess correctly?
