klidescope
When ACBL is the TD for ( example ) ROBOT DUPLICATE the Title reads : #8082 ACBL Robot Duplicate and its my inclination to assume this as an ACBL SANCTIONED event when in fact the only way to know is to read the tourney descriptionand look for ACBL SANCTIONED typed. Only cost me $ once, but I think it may be that way for others IMHO I think ACBL should NOT be used as a TD name. TY Steve PS no need to refund the $
bb79
ACBL Robot duplicates rewards ACBL masterpoints (although tourney rules section is empty).
diana_eva
ACBL Robot tourneys really ARE ACBL tourneys, it is not just a misleading name put there to trick people into losing money :)
JoAnneM
If ACBL is mentioned - it is a sanctioned ACBL game. What was the problem with your money? These games are a bargain!!!
H_KARLUK
Nothing wrong about ACBL on BBO tournaments. Well planned. Just sit at home, log on BBO and play an individual ACBL sanctioned GIB tournament. You may not find an individual contest at every bridge club. No need to worry about finding a partner or transportation problem. Besides GIB gives you new ideas. Good for ACBL members regularly adding such masterpoints to your account.Ideal especially for oldies. Enjoy. That's the cheapest fun :D ps. I also strongly recommend 18 boards in 55 minutes for people who care to improve. Registry bonus is a wonderful idea rarely seen in STACs or Regionals. Yesterday finished as 3rd, earned BBO masterpoints also 2$ bonus for registry. Cool, tyvm Rain ♥ :)
